FLOWER MARKET & PRISON MUSEUM

This is a unique walking tour with something for everyone! We will begin the tour at the BTS Saphan Taksin station. From there, we will take a short walk to Central Pier and board a river taxi that will take us to the Memorial Bridge.

From the Memorial Bridge, we will visit the following:

1. Pak Khlong Talat ~ This is Bangkok's primary flower market that accommodates both end consumers and wholesalers alike. Here you can find popular flowers and vegetables from all provinces in Thailand.

2. Bangkok's Prison Museum in Romaninart Park ~ The museum is on the site of Bangkok's first maximum security prison built in 1890. The museum is part of the former prison that was used to house the most dangerous Thai criminals. The museum preserves the history of the Thai penal system and the brutal treatment of its prisoners prior to reforms that were made in the system.

We will end with a walk to the Phan Fah Boat stop and take the khlong to nearby Ratchathewi BTS Station. For those interested, we will stop off for an "end of tour" drink at the Johnny Walker bar.

Walking tours are a popular AWC activity. Make sure you sign up and pay early to ensure your place!
