BASICS OF FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS Join our own Joan D’Arcy on Friday, July 3rd, for the second in a series of five classes on the basics of flower arranging. Learn how to select flowers for different occasions, care for the flowers plus many other tips. There is a limit of 8 per class so sign up online now!

ALL-AMERICAN FUN! The Annual Independence Day Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 4th at the American School of Bangkok on Sukhumvit Soi 49. Come join fellow Americans for a day of food, fun and festivities! For more information visit the I-Day website - www.idaybkk.com.

LEARN TO TASTE WINE Want to know the basics of wine tasting? Here is your chance to do just that! This class is specially organized for fundraising and proceeds will be donated toward Community Projects for distribution to charities. Pick your date – Friday, July 10th or June 24th from 1:30 PM until 4 PM.

AWC PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR Turn your cameras loose on the Pak Khlong Talat flower and vegetable market on Friday, July, 17 from 10:30 AM until Noon! Find several opportunities for photos amongst the colorful mounds of flowers and market life. All skill levels are welcome to participate. Sign up now to reserve your space!

A WALK IN THE PARK This month's adventure will take us through the Port Authority area near Klong Toey and across the Chao Phraya River where we will take a wonderful walk through a most tranquil park and surrounding neighborhood. Sign up to ensure your spot! Our walk will be on Friday, July 31st and begin at 9:30 AM.

The AWC and its members are very involved in the local community through the Community Projects and the Scholarship Committees. We believe each of us can make a difference! Members take advantage of a variety of club activities, such as bunco, tennis, golf or the book club. Many of our members take excursions, visiting nearby countries as well as interesting locations within Thailand and Bangkok. Another special aspect of AWC Thailand is the Asian arts and culture magazine, Sawaddi, which is published quarterly and staffed entirely by volunteer members.
