WALKING TOUR
Banglampoo (Khao San, backpacker’s area)

Banglampoo is old Bangkok. This was the original residential district for farmers and produce merchants from Ayutthaya who followed the transfer of the royal court to Bangkok in the late 18th century. The most famous draw is Thanon Khao San, the backpacker’s area.

This month’s walking tour starts at the Saphan Taksin pier. We will travel to Phra Arthit pier by river boat. From there we start exploring the Banglampoo area. On our way we will see shophouses, Phra Sumen Fort, several temples, colorful markets and enjoy the typical atmosphere.

Lunch is optional for those who can stay. From here we will decide how to go home.
