Looking for a fabulous way to spend an otherwise humdrum Tuesday? Plan now to join all your friends at the annual Combined Women’s Luncheon on Tuesday, October 9th as the AWC hosts “The Rip Roaring Twenties~Puttin’ on the Ritz!”

We’ll gather at the beautiful new Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. There will be loads of vendors starting at 9:30am so arrive early to cash in on the best bargains before they’re sold out! Then stay for dining, drinking and dancing Roaring Twenties style! 

Speaking of style, you’re encouraged to get in the spirit by dressing in period attire! Isn’t it fun to play dress up for a day?! Come as a flapper adorned with pearls, fringe and feathers! “Smart Casual” is also perfectly acceptable, but be sure to embellish yourself with a long strand of costume pearls or a feather boa! Need other ideas? Start by Googling “1920s attire”. Then click on images and you’ll find all sorts of photographs. A dress can be made here in Thailand, and there are some that can be quickly ordered from the US.

During our research of the Twenties, we discovered many epicurean delights that were all the rage, so we have an amazing four-course menu of popular period dishes which will be served up family style. There will be several vegetarian options, so everyone will be pleased.

Grilled Eggplant in Tomato Emulsion with Parmesan (v), Chicken Florentine, Grilled Salmon, Mushroom in Puff Pastry filled with Mushroom Cream Sauce (v)

 DESSERT
Pineapple Upside-down Cake, Lemon Tart, Tiramisu

Wine will be available by the glass and by the bottle at modest prices. (We’ll post prices as soon as it’s finalized with the distributor.)

We have lots of exciting plans, including a Charleston contest, a Best Dressed contest (in 1920s fashions), a little gambling, a silent auction and much, much more! Make your decision now to come kick up your heels with the most dazzling dolls in town! 

TICKETS are a real steal at just 1,600 baht per person. There are three ways to get yours.
  • To pay online using PayPal, click "Register" in the little green box to the left and follow the process. We will hold your ticket for you at check-in.
  • Register online, then stop by the AWC office to make payment and pick up your tickets.
  • Get your tickets in person at AWC's Casual Connections on Monday mornings, 10 am-Noon (The Coffee Club, Sukhumvit 63 as of September 10th).
Seats are limited and are being sold to several women’s clubs in Bangkok, so don’t hesitate; grab your girlfriends and get your tickets today!
