October Meet & Greet
Won’t you join us at this month’s Membership Gathering on Tuesday, October 18th from 10:00am to Noon?
Our hostess, Naina, has invited three guest speakers to share about their efforts to help improve the lives of the less fortunate in Thailand.
Khunying Finola Chatamra from the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation will talk on breast cancer, and we will be donating a check to the Foundation. A big thank you to Maureen Duffus for donating her fees from the Bollywood Dance Classes to support this cause. And thanks to our members who joined the Bollywood classes.
Max Simpson from Steps with Theera will tell us about her involvement in the special needs community. She recently opened a coffee shop and vocational training center for young adults with special needs such as autism and Down Syndrome.
Angela Stanford is from People Eye Care Foundation (PECF), an organization that has been restoring eyesight throughout Thailand for 25 years. A main mission of PECF is to provide appropriate surgery and care for those with cataracts.
Everyone is welcome—new, potential, and current members. This activity is free of charge, but we ask that you please register online to RSVP for address information and count of members for food and drink preparations. Location information will be sent in your confirmation email.
NOTE: As a sign of respect during the period of mourning the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, we ask everyone to dress in appropriate and subdued attire.
